River Transport

Burkhart Enterprises, Inc. is nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains.

Our Barge Terminal is a "water gateway" to the entire world. At the confluence of the Holston and French Broad Rivers, the Tennessee River begins its voyage out of the rolling hills of East Tennessee to the Tennessee TomBigbee Waterway System, the Mississippi River System, Ohio River System, and the intra-costal waterways to all water ports of the world.

At the Intersection of these three rivers Burkhart Enterprises, Inc. sits at mile 652.2 on the Tennessee River.

Truck Transport

Burkhart Enterprises, Inc. maintains a full-service shop so that our trucks are dependable and ready to roll.

Rail Transport

As Burkhart Enterprises, Inc. continues to grow - so does our list of services available to clients.

Our rail transfer facility is NOW OPEN. We handle:

• Center Beam Cars;
• Hopper Cars;
• Flat Cars;
• Boxcars;
• and Tank Cars.

Our new hopper pit is state of the art. We can handle multiple car shipments safely and efficiently. The track on our yard allows for us to easily work up to 16 cars at one time with ample room for expansion.

We also offer facilities to heat tanker car contents. Our rail spur at the warehouse provides covered access for loading and unloading freight.

We have a strong working relationship with Norfolk Southern, CSX and Union Pacific railways, interfacing regularly with them while processing more than 400 cars per year.
